Real Wedding: Jaimee and Steve

Good morning!  I have a sweet wedding to share with you all today from Jessica Hill Photography.  One of my favorite parts of this wedding is the location:  Mt. Hood Timberline Lodge.  A magical setting up in the Cascade Mountain range full of tradition and enchantment.  It's just breathtaking.  Another reason why I love this couple, they created their wedding rings in a foundry!  I just can't get enough of all the personalized touches brides and grooms come up with--this one is truly one-of-a-kind!

Thank you to Jessica for capturing this beautiful celebration and congrats to Jaimee and Steve and their new life together!  Be sure to check out the vendor listing at the end of the post--it's a great list of some wonderful vendors here in Portland!

Bridal Hairstyles

Good morning!  It's hard to get back into the swing of things after a long, lazy Thanksgiving week!  It was so nice to have my hubbie home and spend time with our families!

I love these modern bridal hairstyles, especially the faux bob above.  Those beautiful curls are just at the right spot for a bride wearing a bird cage or flyaway veil!

Gown Friday

I hope you all had a wonderful week!  I have heard rumors of possible snow in our forecast for Sunday and Monday.  Wouldn't that be fun?  Here's a look at Badgley Mischka's Fall 2010 bridal collection.  The dress above is my personal favorite--I love the flower applique trend and I am so glad it's still around.  Speaking of flowers, have you seen any of the their recent collection of wedding sandals lately?  Gorgeous!

See you all next week...

Tabletop Inspiration: Thanksgiving

This weekend my family and I are celebrating a little a pre-Thanksgiving tradition with some dear friends of ours. We cook up a big Thanksgiving meal and enjoy a cozy evening together complete with the first Christmas movie of the season (forget yesterday's post about waiting 'till November 26...).

I love this tabletop--just enough glitz and shine to bring a traditional fall table a bit of sophistication!

What to wear...

I have decided to start a new feature here on Weddings Fresh, a weekly post on What to Wear....  To kick us off this week is a selection of pieces perfect for the approaching holiday season.  I am trying my hardest not to put up my Christmas decor until the day after Thanksgiving, because after all, that is the official day you can respectably listen to Christmas music and put up your tree--we all know some of us cheat a bit of course...I went shopping for some new decorations on Monday and I just am itching to attend the holiday parties on our busy calendar.  Thus, I was inspired for this first What to Wear.

I chose these pieces because they are simply ideal for anyone desiring a sense of elegance for her party debut but has no interest in looking safe or dated.  These dresses give just enough flirt to feel your youthful self but not enough skin to shame you into the closet...there is a good balance, you know!  The best part, these are dresses that are classic enough they will wear well for years to come.

If any of you have style or fashion questions you would like to have answered here on Weddings Fresh, please feel free to e-mail me at:  dani@weddingsfresh.com.  I would love to hear from you!!

Real Wedding: French countryside

Oh my, I should married in France! This stunning wedding is a fantasy fulfilled for most little girls who grow to be refined, sophisticated women, complete with a chateau in the South West French countryside, seven course meal in the garden and a surprise midnight fireworks display to end the night.  And that dreamy dress was custom designed by the bride's sister, Cristina Martinez Franco.  Gorgeous!

Make sure you check out the entire wedding captured by the talented One and Only Paris Photography and for the complete wedding credits check it out here.
